Namsan tower observatory
Namsan Tower is located on Namsan Mountain in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. The tower stands at 236 meters tall and provides panoramic views of the city from its observation deck. It was completed in 1971 as a radio and television broadcasting tower but has since been transformed into a multi-purpose tower with various attractions, such as restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. Visitors can reach the tower by hiking up the mountain or taking a cable car or shuttle bus. The tower is also known for its colorful lighting displays at night, which change seasonally and for special occasions.
1. Location (How to approach?)
Namsan Tower is located almost in the center of Seoul. Nearby are Myeongdong Station, Hoehyeon Station, and Seoul Station on Seoul Subway Line 4.
Namsan cable car
There is a cable car that goes up to Namsan Tower. The price is 14,000 won for an adult round trip. You can walk to the cable car station by using Myeong-dong Station and Hyehwa Station, which are Line 4 of the Seoul Subway.
