It is located in Yeouido, the economic center of Korea. By subway, it is accessible from Yeouinaru Station on Seoul Subway Line 5, Yeouido Station on Line 5 and Line 9, and Noryangjin Station on Line 1 and Line 9. However, since it is about a 20-minute walk from the subway, let's get off the subway and use the bus. In spring and autumn when the weather is nice, you can visit Yeouido Park right in front of the 63 Building while taking a walk.

4. Tips

The 63 Building Observation Deck changed its name to 63 art, changing it from a just observatory to a space where you can view art works. It's good to just visit, but if you're staying longer in Seoul, it's a better idea to check out what art exhibitions are there and visit them at the right time.

After visiting 63 art, it is good to take a walk in Yeouido Hangang Park, which is the romance of Koreans, or go to Noryangjin Fish Market and eat seafood.

Seodaemun prison history museum location, entrance fee and opening hours

The Seodaemun Prison History Museum is a place where you can feel the painful history of Korea. Now it has been changed to a museum rather than a prison, but it is an educational and culturally important place because it preserves the feeling of the site at that time.

Seodaemun prison history museum

The name has been changed to Seodaemun Independence Park. This building was built during the Japanese colonial era and was used as a concentration camp for Korean political prisoners. As a place where many Korean independence activists were imprisoned, tortured, and executed, it became a symbol of the dark history of the Japanese colonial period. After independence, it was used as a camp for prisoners of war and a juvenile detention center. In 1992, it became a museum and park, and many people visit it.

1. Location

Seodaemun Prison is located at Dongnimmun Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. Seoul Subway Line 3 is right next to Gyeongbokgung Station, which is visited by many tourists.

Teenager : 1,200 won (Age 13 ~ 18)

4. Docent tour

The docent tour is free and available in 4 languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese). Docent tours must be reserved in advance, and only 20 or fewer visitors can participate in the tour at one time.

To be honest, it is not easy for foreigners to make a reservation. If possible, ask Koreans around you the day before your visit.

The time (except Korean)

English tour - 10:00 (Wed. and Thu.), 15:00 (Tue. and Thu.)

Japanese tour - 11:00 (Sat.)

Chinese tour - 11:00 (Fri.)

5. Tips

If you go to Seodaemun Prison history museum, you will know, but since the museum are surrounded by mountains and residential areas, the schedule after that can be vague. If possible, I think it would be a good schedule to listen to the English tour at 10 o'clock, go to Gyeongbokgung Palace, tour, and eat in Bukchon or Seochon.

Namsan tower observatory ticket price and opening hours

Namsan Tower in Seoul, also called N Tower, is a place that many people visit because it has an observatory where you can see Seoul at a glance. I will explain the location, ticket price, and opening hours of the Namsan Tower observatory.

Namsan tower observatory

Namsan Tower is located on Namsan Mountain in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. The tower stands at 236 meters tall and provides panoramic views of the city from its observation deck. It was completed in 1971 as a radio and television broadcasting tower but has since been transformed into a multi-purpose tower with various attractions, such as restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. Visitors can reach the tower by hiking up the mountain or taking a cable car or shuttle bus. The tower is also known for its colorful lighting displays at night, which change seasonally and for special occasions.

1. Location (How to approach?)

Namsan Tower is located almost in the center of Seoul. Nearby are Myeongdong Station, Hoehyeon Station, and Seoul Station on Seoul Subway Line 4.

Namsan cable car

There is a cable car that goes up to Namsan Tower. The price is 14,000 won for an adult round trip. You can walk to the cable car station by using Myeong-dong Station and Hyehwa Station, which are Line 4 of the Seoul Subway.

Trail to Namsan tower

As it is a place that many people are looking for, the trails are well established. Like I said , it is a mountain where you can see Seoul at a glance, so there are some uphill roads. Korea has four seasons, but summer is very hot, so if you use the trails, you may get wet with sweat. During the rest of the season, many people take a walk to the tower. There are many starting points, but if you are a foreigner, it would be good to start from Namdaemun Market, Myeong-dong or Seoul Station. I think it takes about an hour from there.

2. Namsan tower observatory ticket price

Adult (Age 13~ ) : 16,000 won

Child (Age 3 ~ 12): 12,000 won

Age 65 ~ : 12,000 won

4. Tips

You know that usually the observatory is pretty when you visit it at night, right? If you go to Namsan Tower, there is not only an observatory, but also a panoramic view of Seoul from the nearby park. And there are restaurants and souvenir shops inside the tower, so it's a good place to decorate the end of your trip to Seoul.
