Coex aquarium ticket price and opening hours

Coex Aquarium

COEX Aquarium is a popular aquarium located in the basement level of the COEX Mall, one of the largest shopping malls in Seoul, South Korea. It opened in 2000 and covers an area of 6,600 square meters, making it one of the largest aquariums in the country.

The aquarium features a variety of marine life, including over 40,000 creatures from 650 different species. Visitors can see penguins, otters, sea lions, and sharks, among other creatures. One of the highlights of the aquarium is the 90-meter-long underwater tunnel, where visitors can walk through and observe fish swimming around them.

In addition to the main exhibits, COEX Aquarium offers various hands-on experiences and educational programs for visitors of all ages. For example, visitors can touch and feed stingrays, and participate in feeding demonstrations for sea lions and penguins.

1. Location

It is close to Bongeunsa Station on Seoul Subway Line 9 and Samseong Station on Line 2. It is easy to find because it is connected to the subway station, and since the building is so large, you may have to walk inside. Since the aquarium is a popular place, there are many signs inside the building, so it is not difficult to find it.

Discount methods

COEX Aquarium offers a variety of discounts, but basically you get a 20% discount if you make a reservation online. If you are a foreigner, it is difficult to receive card benefits, and if you have a receipt for spending more than 10,000 won at COEX Mall, you can get a 20% discount on site.

Parking discount

If you register your license plate number at the aquarium kiosk, you can apply the discount price below.

4,800 won for 4 hours (after 4hours, 1,200 won per 15 min.)

If you do not register your vehicle, it costs 4,800 won per hour.

Weekends : 12:00 / 13:00 / 14:30 / 16:00 / 17:00

There are no performances on public holidays.

5. Tips

COEX is the most famous convention and exhibition center in Korea. However, it is one of the places that many Koreans visit because it is a place that has not only an exhibition hall but also a shopping mall and entertainment facilities.
