November Japan Osaka 5 days travel itinerary
It's is my first posting in google blog.
I'm a korean
who love travel, food.
I will post about my travel and restaurant
in Korea
especially, in Seoul where I live.
Many korean want to travel japan,
because of closed location,
and
these days, many TV program broadcasting
I also watched the TV program
and
Just bought the ticket to Osaka.
Even I bought the ticket a month before travel.
I don't have enough time to make a proper plan
because of my work.
So,
First, I just made a reservation of hotel.
And made a detail plan
after I left my home with my baggage.
Probably, It's not perfect.
but
I and my wife got memorable experience.
Now, start
This is itinerary
from 18/11/08 to 18/11/12
Our flight was
from Gimpo to Kansai (Jeju air line)
And
This posting is just
summary
So, not detail one.
I will post detail, too.
Please, wait!!
Before I introduce the plan.
In advance,
I bought the travel tickets.
Haruka ticket
(from Kansai airport to Kyoto station)
Osaka amazing pass
(1 day)
Hankyu pass
(1 day x 2EA)
Limousine bus ticket
(from Umeda station to Kansai airport)

Like I said,
I will post the detail.
1st day
Kyoto

Gimpo airport - Kansai airport
Kyoto station - Lunch - Hotel check-in
Kiyomizudera - Ninenzaka - Break time in hotel
Dinner - Shopping snack - Eat snack - Sleep
We often had break time.
Like I wrote on summary,
we use the haruka ticket
So, we can directly moved to Kyoto station.
Because of expectation,
I couldn't sleep in the train.
Watching the view of osaka and kyoto
we arrived!!
We arrived at kyoto station toward noon.
and definitely, we were hungry.
So,
We were going to a restaurant
where we already searched
as soon as arrived.
and eating!!
Moritaya sukiyaki!
after lunch we went the hotel.
However, check-in start 3pm
we just used the locker and went outside.
Everyone whoever visit to Kyoto
Must go to Kiyomnizudera.
We could get there on foot
about 30 min.
A lot of japan student....
I think
Autumn is school trip season in japan.
Kyoto is really historical city.
So, many students visit here.
Walking down from Kiyomizudera,
we could stop at Ninenzaka, hokanji tower.. etc.
and than
walking to hotel again via gion street.
Old customs are wee preserved in Kyoto
I felt I'm in japan history which I watched movies.
we check-in and taking some nap for a while
and going out for dinner.
Actually, we chose the hole-in-the-wall, in advance,
But....
when we got there,
already lots of people made a long-long line...
So, we just gave up and found other restaurant.
Fortunately,
Just in front of our hotel
Big and cheap grocery store.
So,
we bought some
snack and instant food
for night in hotel!
Finally,
1st day finish!!
2nd day
Kyoto - Around Umeda station

Hotel - Nishiki market - cafe - lunch
Gawaramachi station - Umeda station
Hotel - dinner near Umeda
Donquijote - Midnight meal
In the morning,
we just look around Kyoto
After lunch
We took the subway to umeda
and moved the hotel near umeda station.
Breakfast in nishiki market.
The name of market!
Various food were waiting for us.
In out 5 days itinerary,
We visited two market.
Nishiki in Kyoto
Kuromon in Osaka
Personally,
I like Nishiki market much more.
It's small one
but
have more various foods
We didn't have any plan,
So, just walking around Kamo river.
Sudden shower little
just stop promptly.
Lunch was Gyoza.
We ate it in Tiger gyoza near gawaramachi station.
Took subway using hankyu pass.
First of all,
We had to put the baggage in the hotel.
And searching a restaurant for dinner.
Dinner is Yakiniku
It's Japan'a barbecue system.
Two things we sincerely eat in japan
One is Yakiniku
Second one is Yakidori
After perfect dinner,
Buying some snake in Donquijote
and going back hotel..
3rd day
Kobe

Hotel - Umeda station - Sanomiya station
Lunch - Kitanoijinkan - Nankinmachi
Sanomiya station - Umeada station
Dinner - hotel - Kitashinchi
3rd day
Using Hankyu pass
Kobe tour
If you prepare tour in Kobe
you already know the Kobe beef.
and
Maybe, you are seriously agonizing
Which restaurant you can eat Kobe beef, perfectly.
We just decided to go steak land where many traveler posted.
Definitely, there are reasons
many people eaten Kobe beef in steak land.
For comparison with other restaurant
I was searching google, trip advisor, naver..
The reason I finally found is price of lunch menu.
Cheapest one in Kobe city.
It's cheap but delicious!!
You have to eat it.
Of course...
if you are rich,
you can go other place.
Like a tourist spot
Kobe have tour bus system.
One time boarding
260 en
One day
660 en
over three times
day pass have benefit.
We haven't been many spot,
We could tour conveniently with city bus.
Ate Tendong as dinner at umeda station
and than
we looked around Kitashinchi near our hotel
finish 3rd day itinerary.
4th day
Osaka castle - Dotonbori

Morinomiya station - Osaka castle
Tenmabashi station - Nipponbashi station
Kuromon market - Dotonbori - Nanba sation
Yodobashi station - hotel
4th day
Osaka city tour
Using Osaka amazing pass
We just look around
Osaka castle and Dotonbori.
Ichiran ramen near umeda station
as breakfast.
Be able to take subway freely
using Osaka amazing pass.
So, we easily got to osaka castle.
Almost of remaining time
we just stayed in dotonbori
firstly,
We reserved night river cruise
using osaka pass in advance
as soon as we got there.
and than
Just eye shopping in kuromon market.
As mentioned earlier
I like nishiki market more.
We just hung around until river cruise.
eat, eat and eat!!
Many traveler buy some medicine, jelly, snake
as souvenirs
You know,
Donquijote is not always cheapest
So, you have to compare and compare.
we stop by really many place to buy.
Finally, we found out this place near Glico sign is cheapest one.
Bought all souvenirs here.
and!!!
Eat! Eat! EAT!
5th day
Back home

We didn't have specific plan
Our flight was at 4:30 pm
We didn't have any desire anymore,
So,
Checked out at 11am
Ate lunch
Directly went to the airport.
There is
undergound shopping mall near Umeda.
And
Many dessert store
While we walked to umeda station,
we bought some dessert looking delicious.
Lunch
Hitsumabushi!!!
It's kind of rice with eel.
We ate it at hitsumabushi nagoya bincho near the station.
It's famous hitsumabushi chain.
It's been 1 hour from umeda to airport,
So,
you just calculate time and take the bus!

Like I mentioned,
This posting is just brief itinerary.
In fact,
Although we bought Hankyu pass, osaka amazing pass
we didn't use mach.
Some people who use the pass,
went some place where they don't need to go
because of the pass.
Please, be careful.
Who prepare travel japan already know...
Japan has lots of public transportation company
So....
you have to walk long long distance....
We walked about 20,000 steps in a day.
It's not good to make hard travel plan.
