the first food we ate during japan travel!!
It's Sukiyaki.
As you know,
there are lots of food in japan.
we couldn't choose what we would eat easily.
Looked into restaurants
according to our itinerary.
Every restaurant we visited except this one.
we were searching from internet during travel.
Time could be iffy
so that we should find this restaurant in advance.
We were searching what we could eat
as soon as we got Kyoto station,
and
We found Moritaya sukiyaki where many people have posted.
This is located in the building
connected to Kyoto station.
Many kinds of restaurant are on 11th floor.
If you ride the elevator,
you can see the restaurant at the right side.
For your information,
there are numbers of restaurants
look around first.
We wrote the name in waiting list
Just English alphabet is enough
and the number of people.
While waiting,
we were looking at the menu beside waiting list.
Actually,
we already pick the menu
seeing other blog,
so, we didn't see in detail.
We decided to eat sukiyaki
Maybe, the price is different based on quality of meat.
This price is general one,
In case of lunch, the price is a little down.
It's not cheap menu
So, we ate this as lunch.
It's lunch price.
Approximately, 1000 cheaper.
I'm just poor traveler,
Couldn't eat expensive one.
we pick 2nd one. 4,644en
During whole itinerary
the most expensive meal.
While waiting
many people came and wrote their name
on the list.
Before beginning the meal,
Wet tower is given.
And
Warm green tea, also.
The most advantage of this restaurant is view.
All seat are alongside glass window.
Can see Kyoto tower, clearly.
It's appetizer.
Right side one taste like soy sauce braised beef
Left one are yam and roe.
Eat them with tea, savorily.
Rice and miso with side dish
after finish appetizer.
For your information,
Rice can be refilled for free.
Vegetable for sukiyaki.
Green onion, crown daisy,
burdock, tofu, onion, jelly noddel
Dipping the sukiyaki into raw eggs.
It's like sauce.

1 egg!
If you just wait,
employee will inform you how to eat.
Meat!!
As you can see,
Two kinds of meat are given.
Maybe,
More expensive, More good quality of meat
I'm not sure it's Kobe beef,
The meat with more fat is more delicious.
Really, soft and rich smell of meat!
Before cooking,
Heat the pan and cover fat on the pan
for preventing sticking.
Cook start!
with sprinkling coarse sugar
on the pan covered fat.
Although some time,
we cook sukiyaki at home,
It's first time to see cook like this.
Grill the meat right on coarse sugar
and spray the soy sauce on the meat for seasoning
In addition,
the entire process will be done by a waitress.
so,
you just wait and watch, conveniently
After cook the first meat
she gave that out.
This first meat.....
Perfect.
I guess because this meat has really good quality.
Since eating some good meat,
start to boil the vegetable and remaining meat
in the soy sauce.

Every thing dipped into raw eggs were tasty.
I ate rice continuously
because sukiyaki is salty.
She look at me and said
I needed more rice.
So, I ate one more bowl of rice.
For the last,
Some fruits are provided.
My wife ate just a bowl of rice,
but I ate two bowl...
So, I was really full.
We can notice there are lots of restaurants near here after lunch.
Some of them has long long waiting line.
Although I was full,,
I wanted to go other, too.

I think,
Sukiyaki can be getting cloyed,
because the character of sukiyaki has strong seasoning
It's my first food in Japan
So, I really expected

It was better than I thought.
