How to get to start of Camino Walk? Which Airport?

First, if you walk on Camino for the first time, you may recommend French way.
The reason is that the most people walk, so it is best to get help when a problem arises, and the facilities such as the bus or hospital are good.

Which section on Camino de Frances?

If you decided to walk along the French way, it's time to decide which section to walk.
First, the starting point of the French way is Saint Jean Pied de Port in France and the destination of arrival is Santiago de Compostela. it takes about a month.
And after arriving in Santiago, many people are walking to Muxia and Fisterra, which takes about five days.

Do you have 35 days?
If that's the case, don't worry about it, Walk from beginning to end. If you don't have enough time, choose a section.

There are Three ways to select a section.

1. Start from Saint Jean Pied de Port and walk as long as you can.
2. Start where you can reach Santiago within a days you have.
3. Start from Saint Jean Pied de Port and walk to Santiago but take bus at some section.
4. Walk you own way.

I recommend you second or third method. I think it's better to walk on Camino and feel the moment you arrive at Santiago.

1 week : Sarria ~ Santiago de Compostela
2 weeks : Leon ~ Santiago de Compostela
3 weeks : Burgos ~ Santiago de Compostela
4 weeks : Logroño ~ Santiago de Compostela

If you want to start from Saint Jean Pied de Port or walk to Muxia and Fisterra, you can make the right adjustments.

So, Which Airport?

Before I summarize the airport, it is for people from afar, not Europeans.

If you start from Saint Jean Pied de Port, France is good place to enter.
In case of leaving, Madrid is good because you will leave from Santiago.
Also, Madrid is a good place to enter even if you start somewhere other than Saint Jean Pied de Port.

From the airport in paris, you can take TGV to Saint Jean Pied de Port.
In case of Madrid, you can take renfe or bus to where you want to go.
or, there is Santiago airport which only operates in Europe.
