Japan Osaka Travel Budget and Packing List - November Travel!

This is the last posting about Osaka travel!

I will talk about What to prepare,
and How much I spent!

Which city do you want to go?

If you are preparing for trip to Osaka,
Already knew that
Are there some cities that many people visit with Osaka.

Especially,

Kyoto
Kobe

In my opinion,
The first thing when you prepare is
to choose the city you will stop by.

For your information,
My wife and I,
Travel 4 nights 5 days
(from Thursday to Monday)

Slept in Kyoto on first day,
Stayed in Osaka on rest of days.
and
One day trip to Kobe.

For help your choice,
It's personal opinion of two cities.

KYOTO

Osaka feels like a big city.
If you stay in Osaka,
You may not feel that you are in Japan.

Probably, feel like your country city.

.

Kyoto is the most important place in Japanese history,
So, it seems like old culture is preserved well.

If you go out of town and go to Kiyomizudera temple,
You can see people with traditional clothes.

There are many small restaurant
with a Japanese atmosphere.

If I have a chance to trip to Osaka again,
I will spend more time in Kyoto than Osaka.

Kobe

Personally,
Kobe was a vague city.

Nothing remains in my memory except Kobe beef,
which I ate in Steak land.

The tourist facilities are good.
So, we could just take the city-loop bus around.
but
Personally, I don't think
there's anything worth seeing to me.

Of course, it's a personal opinion!

No matter where you visit,
you have your own style of trip.

Travel itinerary

After you choose which city to visit,
you should choose
whether one day trip or stay for the day.

I think,
Choosing where you go as a big frame is enough,
prepare rest slowly.

It's not bad to just go on a trip like us
and search what you need every time you take a break.

Packing List & Preparation process

Flight

We bought the flight ticket about 1 month before our trip
Also, I tried to find the cheapest one.

Tickets are all about how to ticket,
so if you search hard,
you'll get a cheap ticket.

Usually,
I search through
Kayak, Sky scanner

In case of Korea,
you have two option,
Fly peach, Jeju air.

Travel pass

As many of you might know,
there are various travel passes for Osaka.

Actually,
Buying these ahead is depends on your country.
In my country, Korea
We can buy these on the internet easily,
You need to check, first.

I had searched this very hard,
and found out the cheapest one.

I bought as much as I could in advance
as I didn't plan my trip properly.

Haruka (Air port - Kyoto)
Hankyu pass (1day, 2ea)
Osaka amazing pass (1day)
Limousine (Umeda - Airport)

Totally, I bought 4 kinds of passes,
got them all right before I left Gimpo airport.

Certainly,
purchase in advance is cheaper than buy in Japan.

Do you need travel passes??
There is a personal difference.

Haruka pass and Limousine pass are not designated as a date,
but you can ride it anytime.
So, it's better to buy it without fail depending on your travel plans.

In case of Hankyu pass and Osaka amazing pass,
it's different depending on your travel style.

First,
Hankyu pass is recommended
for who will go to one day trip to either Kobe or Kyoto.
It's not a loss just for the round trip subway.

In case of who are going to stay a night in Kyoto and move to Osaka,
if stop by Arashiyama bamboo forest, it will be gain,
Otherwise, Loss.

But it's not a good idea to go to the forest
for only the passes?

Secondly,
Osaka amazing pass had
lots of free options to do in Osaka,
however
Most of them are not fitted with our travel style.

Mainly, you can enter
some of museums and art galleries for free,
and you can ride boats from
various tourist attractions for free also.

We've never enter a museum and art galleries.
we entered the castle and came out right away.

Took a boat just one time in Dotonbori.
We gave up the boat near Osaka castle immediately
because it was fully booked.

As a result,
except Dotonbori boat which most people take,
People who like museum and art galleries!
People who want to go to a hot spring and dip their feet!

I think
The pass is good for the people.
Rest of you...
Check out where you want to go first.

Some people can just use public transportation pass!

And!
Be careful!!
Even if you bought is in advance,
you don't need to use free entrance.

It's worth using free public transportation,
So, just watch what you want to see.

Hotel booking

I won't explain it
because there are too many personal differences.

Guest house
Hotel
Booking in advance
Without booking.

There are a lot of people..

The hotel we stayed are listed under links.
you can refer to them.

Wifi egg

I've never taken a Wifi egg while I was traveling.
The egg for Japan trip is very cheap,
so I tried it once.

It's depending on your country, also.
In my case,
I could find this on the internet easily.
And just chose the cheapest one.
It's about 0.1$ per day as an event.

As you can see from the component,
It also comes with a battery and a travel adapter.

It's about as much weights as
you can think of with another cell phone,
and the Wifi is pretty good!

Personally, It is essential when you travel to Japan!

Currency Exchange

It was 50,000 en,
we went on with Bank application.

Whenever I ate expensive food or lodging,
I scratched my card,
So, 50,000 en was enough for us.

Budget

Since the cost varies widely,
I'll write down just how much I spent on each item.

All amounts are for two people.

Accommodation : 39,950 en
Transportation : 1,780 en
Meal & Dessert : 53,049 en

Total : 94,779 en

Transportation is excluded from
 the pre-purchased pass price ($ 124)
and air ticket ($ 400).

I've ruled out all the clothes I bought from Uniqlo,
the medicine, jelly, and cookies I bought as souvenirs!

As I said before, the cost is very different.

If you move according to our schedule,
you can get about $ 1,000 in Japan.
If you calculate all the supplies, tickets, and souvenirs,
you can expect $ 2,000 for 2 people, 4 nights and 5 days.

All the supplies and expenses described above are
from my personal experiences.

Since all the travel styles are different,
I don't think it's going to be easy to decide exactly.

We don't have a good home,
We don't have expensive food,
We don't have to look around a lot,
so you might be able to need more budget.

Please take a nice trip with this posting.
