How to get to Trakai Island Castle from Vilnius, BUS !!

About Trakai Castle

A castle located in Trakai, Lithuania. It arrives in 40 minutes by bus from Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Uniquely built on an island above the Galvė lake.

 Completed in the 15th century, the castle is already an old castle, and has been greatly destroyed by war, but it was completely restored in the 1960s.

The red roofs are beautiful in the middle of the blue lake.
It is a place many people visit, but you can feel peaceful.
There are dozens of lakes in Trakai, with the harmony of blue sky and blue lake, green leaf and red brick creating a wonderful landscape.

If you visit here, you will see the peaceful castle you imagined as a child.

How to get to Trakai city from Vilnius?

If you don't drive a rental car, I recommend you to use the bus.

The picture above is the bus terminal of Vilnius. You can take a bus to Trakai if you check the bus schedule here and wait.

Before I went to Trakai Island Castle, I had already seen the Trakai bus timetable through many blogs.
You may have checked many blogs already, but you'd better check them more clearly.
So I had received this bus schedule in advance at the bus terminal.

The number of types means the day of the week. In Lithuania, there are many places where the days of the week are expressed in numbers, so please refer to them.

All you have to do is check and wait for the bus time and platform on the day you want to go to Trakai.

As I said before, it takes about 40 minutes to get to Trakai. I recommend that you calculate this time and schedule it.

How to get to Trakai Island Castle from bus terminal?

When you get off the bus, you can get off at the same terminal as in the picture above.
You can take a taxi or walk to Trakai Castle from here.
I personally recommend you to walk.

As a famous tourist attraction in Lithuania, maps are displayed in the city at once.

The distance from the bus terminal to the castle is 1.9 km, and you can get there in 20 minutes on foot.

The road from the bus terminal to Trakai Island Castle is so beautiful. As you can see from the map, the city of Trakai itself is surrounded by a lake, so you can see a beautiful lake no matter which way you look at it.
Many tourists and residents are enjoying their rest because the park is well constructed around it.

I didn't use it, but there's also a tour of the castle by boat, so get in if you want.

If you want to see inside Trakai Castle, you have to pay the admission fee.
This is an individual choice, so I leave it to you.
In the case of our couple, they had already walked through such a beautiful city, and they were satisfied enough with the appearance of the castle as if they were looking through a fairy tale, so they did not go inside.

If you've seen Trakai Castle, it's your turn to eat.
We went to the restaurant in advance, but we couldn't check the opening hours and eat at the restaurant we wanted.
If you want to eat at a restaurant around the castle, be sure to check the opening time.

Still, we were hungry, so we looked for something to eat.
Personally, I hope you will try Kibinai, one of Lithuania's traditional foods.
It's the first time I've had it here, and I ordered it if I see it after that.
To briefly describe Kibinai, it is like a dumpling made of pies, and there are types of chicken, sheep and cattle.

Tracy is not a place to see a lot of things. But the reason why many tourists visit is because of the city's beautiful appearance. Blue Lake, Blue Sky and Green Wind and Sound
