Korea Food Culture You must Know before Travel

How much do you know about Korea?

In the old days, there were many foreigners who did not know about Korea. When it comes to Asia, China and Japan used to come to mind first. When I went on a trip when I was young, many people asked me where Korea was if I was Korean.Personally, I think the promotion of Korean culture has not been done properly.Recently, however, many people know Korea.Starting with Samsung's mobile phone, many actors are making their way to Hollywood, and many foreigners like K-pop can be seen. These days, many people talk about K-pop or food when I go on a trip.I will write about the Korean culture that you must try while traveling in this post.

Night of Korea

I was most surprised when I traveled to other countries as a Korean.
In other countries, most restaurants close at midnight.
The night culture of Korea starts with dark and ends with light. It's literally till morning.
When you walk around the streets at night, the dazzling neon signs welcome you. People can't count how many.
There are many different kinds of food in Korea. When Koreans meet friends, they not only eat at one restaurant, but move around and drink.

I think the biggest reason for this culture is security.
People can go around at night and drink until late at night because they don't feel any threat.

Korea Food

Korea has many different foods. And there are a variety of cultures that started from such foods.
I have traveled to many countries, but I have never seen a country with a variety of foods like Korea.
If you go to a restaurant and order a menu, you can get more of the various side dishes.
First of all, we've already arranged the menu on the link below, so it's good to refer to it.

The post explains and describes Korean culture.
Just go to a restaurant and see the stomach postings and explain about the special food culture of Koreans: delivery.

In Korea, food can be delivered anywhere. I don't care if you were at the hotel in the guesthouse. Even if you are sitting in Han River Park, you can make deliveries. Of course, it can be a little difficult because you have to make a phone call, but it can be done simply if you ask the people around you.
And you can pay in cash or by credit card.

And you can order any food to be delivered. Everything from fried chicken or pizza to raw fish or bulgogi is deliverable.
Most delivery restaurants are open late at night, so you can deliver food right before you go to bed.

If I explain it further, it seems like only my fingers hurt.

If you are traveling in Korea, try delivery food.

Soju - Korean Alcohol

If you could drink, you'd probably heard of it at least once. In Korea, Soju must have a drink. It's a kind of alcohol that's nowhere in the world.
Soju is a low-level vodka. So it feels softer.
Personally, it seems like a drink that goes best with Korean food culture.
As I said before, there are various foods in Korea, so there are many cases where people eat and drink for a long time, and soju allows them to drink for a long time.
It is one of the drinks that many people are apt to choose because they are stronger than beer but weaker than vodka.
The transparent liquid in this unique green-life bottle is a drink that anyone can drink because it is so cheap. Many Koreans always shared this green bottle when they had a hard time.

How to drink soju

Koreans have considered courtesy as important since ancient times.
In particular, courtesy of older people was important.
When a young person gets a drink from an old person, he or she should hold a glass with both hands.
When you pour alcohol on an older person, you should carry a bottle with your hands.
You don't have to fill the glass too tightly. Leave about 3 mm and follow to avoid spillage.
Cheer is replaced by "Gunbae" or "JJan".
It may vary from person to person, but soju is based on one-shot because the glass is small.

I warn you before you drink soju.
Don't drink too much, even if you're weak.
You may lose your memory.
